This video features “Pipeline” Moe Norman, the straightest striker the game has ever seen. On this particular afternoon in September, 1998, I was in Toronto with some of my club members from Southern California. I grew up in Toronto and had many encounters with Moe. During that period, he was the “buzz” of many avid golfers as he was featured in Golf Digest Magazine. Even at Moe’s elevated age, he could still strike the ball purely and with good distance. It was fun to hear him ramble on about the game and its players while hitting balls “rapid fire” as he was known to do.
Enjoy the video, it is long, but well worth the time to watch and take in some anecdotes from one of the game’s most interesting and talented characters.
